GLOCK GEN4 PISTOLS, GLOCK GENERATION
4 PISTOLS, GLOCK SHORT FRAME PISTOLS
Glock has responded to customer demand by
producing two relatively new lines of pistols: the Glock Generation
4 (or Gen4) line of pistols, and the Glock Short Frame. Both are designed
to give shooters a better grip on the pistol by changing the size
of the grip frame.
The Short Frame pistols feature a grip frame
that's shorter front to back, enabling those with smaller hands to
put more of their fingers on the trigger. For many users, the Short
Frame models will be more comfortable all around. The Short Frame
models also feature an ambidextrous magazine release.
The Generation 4 --or Gen4--pistols go a step
further by providing three different interchangeable backstraps of
different sizes. These effectively let you choose between a small,
medium or large frame for the best fit. The Gen4 pistols also feature
a dual recoil spring for reduced felt recoil and increased reliability.
The Generation 4 pistols also have an enlarged, ambidextrous magazine
release button. Additionally, the Glock Gen4 pistols are given a Rough
Textured Frame treatment that is a bit less sharp than that on the
RTF2 rough textured frame pistols, but still provides a solid grip
for cold or wet hands.
