Springfield Armory EMP Enhanced Micro Pistol product photo

The Springfield Armory EMP (Enhanced Micro Pistol) fits a lot of features into a tiny package. It's the smallest, most concealable 1911 pistol you can buy. The 3" barrel and shortened frame result in a pistol so small you can hold it in the palm of your hand, yet it has all the firepower of a full size 1911.

The 9mm EMP comes with three 9-round stainless magazines with slam pads. The stainless steel bull barrel is fully supported, and is made to match grade specifications.

The sights are now profile, with rounded edges to prevent snagging. Three tritium dots allow you to pick up your target quickly, in daylight or darkness.

The ambidextrous safety is a plus not just for left-handed shooters, but for righties who need to shoot weak hand.

The slide is forged satin finished stainless steel, and the frame is hard anodized alloy, giving the pistol a weight of just 26 ounces unloaded. That's a pistol you can carry all day without even noticing.

The EMP is a looker, too, with slim Cocobolo grips standing out against the bi-tone slide and frame. The grips are embedded with the Springfield Armory logo., and have deep checkering for a solid grip.

The match grade skeletonized trigger has an adjustment screw for overtravel, and a pull weight of 4.5 to 5 pounds, with a crisp break.

For an extremely light, small carry pistol with good looks and a lifetime warranty, look no further.

Every Springfield Armory 1911 pistol is equipped with a trigger locking device. A key inserted into a hole in the rear grip strap positively locks the trigger, making it impossible for a child to accidentally discharge the gun. This system gives you a choice as to whether or not you need to lock your gun. Unlike trigger locks on other brands of guns, the keyhole is small, so that it doesn't ruin the looks of the gun.

"i really like this handgun, it's light and easy to shoot and right on target,,, the only problame that i have is that the slide is really hard to pull back,,, i've put a lot of rounds thru this gun in hope that with time it would looseing up a bit but it's still really hard to pull the slide back when loading it !!! i've tryed finding a site from springfield arms that might help me out but there's nothing about this emp and no one who can help out!!! i'll probably have to trade it in and get another gun thats easer for me to operate,,,, thats not saying that i don't like this emp !!! i gave it 5 stars because it's tops in my book,,, on the downside no help from springfield arms sucks thank you for your time bill"

"I love the looks of the EMP, and the size for carry. I have two Kimbers now and I want a short 3 inch barrel automatic and the EMP is what I am going to get. I am waiting for the next gun show to come to Houston again."
