SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MICRO COMPACT BI-TONE 1911 PISTOL
This Springfield Armory Micro Compact Bi-Tone 1911 pistol represents the coming together of function and beauty. The forged satin finish stainless steel slide contrasts against the black hard coat anodized alloy frame. The Cocobolo slim line grips complete the distinctive look.
For a carry pistol, you couldn't ask for more. The 3" stainless barrel is fully supported and ramped. The Micro Compact frame is significantly shorter than the standard 1911 frame. The result is a .45 ACP 1911 style pistol that can fit in the palm of most people's hands.
The pistol comes with Novak® Low Mount combat sights that have three tritium dots for low light shooting. The ambidextrous safety makes using the gun easier for lefties as well as for righties shooting weak hand. The beavertail safety is extra smooth, and utilizes Springfield's Extreme Carry Bevel Treatment for a more comfortable hold on the gun.
When you hold this pistol, you won't believe that you can have the firepower of seven rounds of .45 ACP in a package that weighs just 24 ounces. For the money, it's one of the best carry pistols on the market.
Lightweight Bi-tone PX9801LP
Every Springfield Armory 1911 pistol is equipped with a trigger locking device. A key inserted into a hole in the rear grip strap positively locks the trigger, making it impossible for a child to accidentally discharge the gun. This system gives you a choice as to whether or not you need to lock your gun. Unlike trigger locks on other brands of guns, the keyhole is small, so that it doesn't ruin the looks of the gun.

Owner reviews of the Micro Compact Bi-Tone 1911
5 out of 5
"There are very few things in life that I would comment on. However this one is the exception. My Micro-Compact .45 cal. was the purchase of the century. Although a wee bit pricey dollar for dollar, you will never find a better firearm in this class. I was so impressed I even convinced an associate to purchase one. And after a week of searching for one he purchased two of them. One for himself and one for his wife. The firearm carries with extreme comfort and draws from the holster smoother than any other pistol I have owned. The trigger is smooth and crisp. The feeding of ammunition has been flawless from day one. There is minimal recoil which makes target re-aqusition quick and easy. Another great feature is that due to the size there is very minimal "printing" when carrying on the waist or under the arm, which makes it a exceptional conceal/carry pistol. Overall this pistol is NOT a 5 star pistol, it's a 10 star piece of engineering marvel. My hats off to ALL of the people of Springfield Armory. Respectfully, Robert Fell"
