Springfield Armory Super Match M1A rifle with walnut stock and Douglas stainless steel barrel

Springfield Armory's Super Match M1A rifle is designed for the serious competitor. It features all of the National Match extras, along with the company's own rear lugged receiver. It has an oversized operating rod guide, and the maximum size walnut stock allowed in service rifle competition.

The barrel is a heavy Douglas stainless steel barrel, which is a semi-custom barrel manufactured to more precise specifications than standard barrels or even National Match barrels.

The National Match trigger group has been specially tuned to give a superbly crisp break at 4.5 pounds.

The sights are National Match as well, considered by many shooters to be the best service rifle sights available. The rear sight features 1/2 MOA adjustments, and has a hood to protect the aperture from dings, as well as keep sunlight or reflections from degrading the sight picture. The front National Match sight has a .062" sight blade for precision.

The Super Match walnut stock is heavier than standard, and has a wide forend that's a bit flatter than standard, giving you a more stable rest when shooting from bags or other types of support.

"Will not hold less than 1.35 minutes, factory shot targets, fed gm match 168gr, mag fed. In spite of the factory info they still claim less than one min accuracy. No way the rifle I had would do so."
